Play Partners is the non-profit arm of the POWERplex and Big Sports Properties. As one of the largest and most dynamic youth sports complexes in America, our goal is use the resources and contributions to Play Partners as a tool to make sports accessible to all. We know that far too many children are eliminated from advanced coaching and competition because of financial resources. Play Partners mission to break down those barriers to entry by helping low-income, disadvantaged student-athletes get full access to high level, club programs. This will be achieved by providing club scholarships, private instruction, tutoring and on-going resources to low-income and underserved youth, allowing them to perform in more sports at higher and higher skill levels. This commitment to advanced training will create more scholarship and economic opportunities for these young student-athletes in the years and decades ahead.
We are currently building a team of staff and volunteers who are committed to recruiting and evaluating young athletes with the desire to play sports at their highest potential. Funding and staffing resources are the only limits we have in our efforts to grow our programs to reach thousands of youth each year. The more resources we can secure, the more lives we can impact annually.
There are programs that promote "participation" which is needed and important to low-income communities. We are different however. We promote "excellence" and surround our student-athletes with the vital coaching, nutrition, fitness and training regiments to help them reach their peak physical and mental strength, allowing them to compete at the highest levels possible. We build Champions for life!
Your generous contributions will help us be ready when POWERplex opens in March of 2023. Help us make sure ALL children have access to world class sports training and competition.
